Set Sail on Lake Tahoe - Private
We can go sailing on my 30 foot sailboat to my favorite spots! This experience is for 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Our typical sail is Valhalla (South Lake Tahoe) to Emerald Bay, and back. We can sail you to the emerald bay where you can view the vikingsholm and the teahouse on top of fannette island from the sailboat. Very comfortable! This is a private sailing experience for you, meaning you will have the entire boat to your party. The only rules of the sailboat, are NO stepping on the cushions. No Spray sunscreen onboard. (Spray sunscreen coats the fiberglass decks, making it very slippery and dangerous) Have as much fun as you want! Sailing etiquette highly supports tipping the skipper! Come onboard for an awesome experience! Other things to note: Weather and wind permitting: if there are thunder storms or strong winds, we can not sail. (Which you will be 100% refunded) Safety First! Your experience includes unlimited beverages, alcoholic and nonalcoholic! If you’d like to tell me your preferences after booking, I’ll make sure there’s plenty on ice. A charcuterie board is available for an additional $20. You are also more than welcome to bring anything you would like to eat or a drink on board. Please no stepping on the cushions! Pets are not allowed onboard due to safety reasons.
Magical llama walk with dogs, goats & flowers
(Dates and times are flexible. I can accommodate most dates and times. ) Each guest will get a llama of their choice to walk with. We will start with snacks and drinks and then go on a full tour of the farm. After seeing all the animal fields we will walk with the llamas on a small forest trail along a running creek. On our walk we will look at some ancient Indian acorn grinding rocks. Cold drinks, a pie & ice cream will be offered on the shady lawn at the end of the tour. In the summer guests could take a refreshing swim in the swimming pool. A small pool is available for young children. Minimum group size is 2. If you are booking just one space, I might have to cancel if there are no additional bookings. My dates, times and group sizes are flexible. Please contact me if you like to schedule something on a specific day or time. Group or school tours are available, please inquire. Other things to note: During the rainy season rain boots are best since the fields can be muddy. Good walking shoes or boots are best during the dry seasons. The walk is on somewhat uneven lawns and pathways so if you have difficulties walking bring a cane or special shoes.
Lake Tahoe-Hike year round with a Local
I would love to be your Tahoe local friend and lead you on a 2 mile hike to a beautiful overlook of Emerald Bay and the ENTIRE Lake Tahoe basin. In my 23 years of living here, I have explored many of the trails and much of shoreline around Tahoe and this vantage point is one of my favorites. Also available for the sunrise, sunset, and/or moonrise! Great for groups and team building. Beginner and kid friendly too. Intermediate-level hike available too. The experience begins with a paved walk on a campground road. Then the trail turns to dirt with a slight incline for about ¼ mile until we get to the lookout point. After, we can return on a dirt trail or on the paved road or if there is time, we can choose a longer route. If you are visiting Tahoe during the winter time, the hike will most likely be covered in snow. Snow boots or hiking boots will be needed. I can bring a sled to help tow the kiddos. The hike may be weather dependent due to heavy snowfall. My goal is to make sure that you have an unforgettable visit to Lake Tahoe and that you leave with tons of photos (I will take the photos and then give them to you via your phone). We will keep our impact to the area minimal with Leave No Trace principles and choose non-peak hiking times. I am happy to try and accommodate mobility challenged/differently abled folks on the hike.
Tahoe Family Paddleboard Experience
We will gear up on the beach and go over paddling technique, proper board handling and launching with a review safety and weather considerations. Upon launching our boards onto Lake Tahoe, we will spend some time getting acquainted with how the board handles in a kneeling position, focusing on body alignment, trim and turning the board. When you are comfortable and ready, we will standup. In addition to stand up paddling, we will go over falling in the water and getting back onto your board. Additionally, we will practice rescue paddling techniques such as knee and prone paddling. My goal is for everyone in the group to feel comfortable on the board and in the water. We will continue to work on developing our stroke as we tour areas of North Tahoe. The pace of this activity is casual and the attention is on smiles and good times! I have many special games and activities that your kids will love. We have been known to play red light, green light on paddlboards, jump over pool noodles, and run across boards lined up next to each other. Your kids will have a blast! Other things to note No SUP experience necessary. You must be able to swim. All guests will need to sign a liability waiver. I can meet your group at alternate locations as necessary. Transportation can be arranged.
Snowshoe Hike in Tahoe National Forest
On this adventure, we will be hiking with snowshoes, immersing ourselves in the forest on a homemade secluded winter trail. Starting, we will spend 1 hour of hiking up 800’ in elevation at a relaxed and enjoyable pace. Up the mountain, we go through uninterrupted Tahoe National Forest. Guiding through the alpine scenery I’ll be sharing stories of the area, history, as well as local flora and fauna. Roughly halfway, we reach one of the highlights of the hike and the scenic reward of Pauly’s Point, an outcropping of rocks, and our highest point of the adventure. From here, world-renowned ski resorts of Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are in full view as they nestle into the Sierra Nevada mountains. Breathtaking scenery surrounds us as we take a break for a snack. On our way down, we will take roughly an hour to meander our way back down the mountain through a variety of high alpine meadows, finishing a loop as we reach the end. Due to the seclusion, seeing another person is highly unlikely. So step off the beaten path and allow me to show you a true mountain outing you won’t surely forget. This hike is suitable for all ability level. However, due to the elevation gain, uneven surfaces, and ever-changing snow conditions. This hike is considered intermediate- moderate in difficulty so be ready to break a little sweat. All who attend will be rewarded greatly by the experience. Other things to note Eat, Hydrate, and use the restroom prior to the hike. No restroom is available at our meeting location. Make sure to have proper footwear for walking through snow for up to 3 hours. A water bottle or camelback is highly recommended for the hike.

Hiking from our cars we head up the mountain to an incredible view to catch the sunrise. As we begin, we walk uphill through hidden walkways and trail networks under vast pine trees and cedars eventually gaining 300’ in elevation over a mile. This morning hike to an incredible view is intended for those looking for a magical experience. As we hike the gentle morning twilight reveals the lake and mountain vistas around us. After roughly 45 minutes of hiking, we reach the top. Surrounding views of Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Crest, and mountain landscapes begin to show as the ambient light increases around us. As we relax and wait for the sun to rise over the lake. I will set out a variety of breakfast type pastries. Hot water for tea, and coffee will also be provided. Once we get our fill of pastries, sunrise, and scenery we begin our hike back down the mountain. The scenery is spectacular and you can choose between easy terrain for beginners and more technical trails for experienced riders. These trails are open from approximately May 1st – Oct. 31st. If there is snow at this trail system, you’ll be able to take Option 2 below. Option 2 – Ride high desert trails among juniper and pinion pines near Carson City, close to East Shore Tahoe. This trail system offers many miles of both dirt roads and trails and is open all year as long as there isn’t snow on the ground (typically 15ish days per year). Daytime temps in the winter can sometimes be in the 30’s so please dress accordingly! After booking, we’ll reach out and discuss which trail system would be the best fit for you. Riders attempting to race, jump their motorcycles or ride too fast for conditions will be warned once. If this persists, riders will be escorted back to the staging area and the ride will be completed. We want everyone to have a great time and safely enjoy their surroundings!
