Vad du kommer att göra
No artistic skill or experience is needed, just some curiosity and an open mind. From the wharf, we'll walk to the studio along the spectacular Cremorne Point Reserve. Then we'll use art-making to observe, express and grow -- in a fun way. The right side of the brain concentrates on the present. It also focuses on being rather than doing, and pictures rather than words. We'll give it a chance to express itself. To begin, we'll do some short drawing exercises focusing on mindful observation and exploring perception. This will be followed by a coffee/tea break. Next, I'll encourage you to forget all about what makes good or bad art as you explore a theme of your own in more depth. You'll choose from a variety of art media and we'll see what bubbles up.

Born and bred in Sydney, I'm a prize-winning artist/illustrator with a 30 year career, who spent 20 years living in Japan studying and working. I'm also a qualified Art Therapist. Alain de Botton says that art is a tool that enables us to become better versions of ourselves. I couldn't agree more.

Var ni kommer att vara
Cremorne Point has spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the city! I also have great views from the top-floor apartment of a 1911 building. We can walk along the famous harbourside Cremorne Point Walk. The 1920's Maccallum Seawater Pool is on the way, and I recommend it for a pre or post experience swim. It's free. The lighthouse is worth a visit. The whole area is great for picnics and relaxing. The wharf cafe is usually open 'til 1pm.

I'm happy to adjust the time of the experience to suit your schedule, if possible. The bus from the ferry stops in front of my place if you prefer not to walk.
