Vad du kommer att göra

After we meet we drink some coffee, check our equipment and discuss a detailed plan of our trip. We then head off to Plaški to visit some historical buildings where I will tell you about the rich and turbulent history of this place. There is a Serbian Orthodox church built in 1755, and an old school building, once attended by Nikola Tesla's father. Tesla was one of the greatest inventors of our time, he invented the alternating current, radio waves and more. Today's technology wouldn't exist without him.
Walking around, I will tell you about the Lika railway built in 1912, the old paper mill fabric and the strong antifascist movement here. Then we head off to the first of our fresh water springs, river Dretulja. From the hill where we'll climb there's a magnificent view of the Plaški valley, a god place to spot other remarkable sights. After that we visit one of the deepest fresh water springs in the world, lake Sinjac (203 m of recorded depth). On our way we'll stop at a few other springs to grab fresh water and learn more about its power and beauty. If there is time, we'll visit the Blata lake, a phenomenon in itself, as it appears and disappears with the rain seasons, thus determining and causing different behaviors of animals and plants surrounding it. Ending with another fresh spring, we finish our trip with a nice meal at the ceramics atelier.
Other things to note
The tour is dependent on weather and can be modified in bad weather conditions. Tour can also be modified according to interest of the participants and agreement before the start.

My name is Branko Šupica. I am a licensed tour guide in Croatia, specialized in cultural, natural and historical tours. Tours that inspire and leave you with the feeling that there is much more to this world than meets the eye. My whole life I've tried to reach behind the visible and commonly known to reveal the unknown, the beauty of hidden and mysterious. In search of this unique answer I have traveled around, lived on the edge, explored and learned. I was born and grew up in the mountains of Mala Kapela, the cradle of the famous Plitvice lakes and numerous fresh water springs, caves, caverns, ancient forests and civilization sites. Now, I feel the time has come to share it. I have put this experience together in guided tours that I organize for friends, family and guests interested in more than just plain sightseeing.
