Vad du kommer att göra

After fitting for helmets, we'll go to the stable and match up the personality of each horse to the personality of the rider. Afterwards, we'll lead them down to the corral for a minilesson to ensure that each rider knows the basic commands to control their horse. If you have physical limitations, have no fears, we have a solid mounting platform to make mounting/dismounting easy on both horse and rider.

Once everyone is in good control of their mount, we will leave the confines of the corral and head onto the federal horse trail that runs in front of our farm. The trail goes right alongside the lake, through cool and shady old growth forests and next to game plots seeded for the birds of the area. We'll go through creeks, see naturally 'twisted growth' trees, and ride through clouds of butterflies. Oftentimes, we'll see River Otters, Egrets, Koots, Ducks, Geese, Bald Eagles, Osprey, White Tailed Deer and the occasional Black Bear - safely in the distance.

There are several good picture taking spots along the various trails. We'll stop and line up for couple/group pictures and give you time to get in some selfies. On the trail back, we may do some short fast sections, so that everyone can understand why the Tennessee Walking Horse is the cadillac of the horse world!
Other things to note
Mobility issues - As long as guest can walk up 4 steps with handrails, they can ride
Weight limit - 280lbs
Minimum Age - 5 years old
Maximum Group Size - Currently 5

Laura wears many hats - Instructor, Trainer, Geoscientist, Science Teacher and Owner of Lake Meadow Farm & Stables. Since 2004, she and husband Danny, have been rescuing, rehabbing, retraining and competing on Tennesee Walking Horses in Endurance and Competitive Trail Competition.

They are proud to open their newest location, located on land once part of a large Southern Plantation and historic town where Walking Horses were once used. Situated on the banks of the sportsmans paradise that is Cordell Hull Lake. They wish to show the WORLD what the Tennessee Walking Horse was bred to be - a smooth riding, calm, trustworthy mount to carry you all day long.

Var ni kommer att vara

The Lowland Lakeside Horse Trail is maintained by the US Army Core of Engineers. This trail runs alongside Cordell Hull Lake, which is one of a network of reserviors which powers the Tennessee Valley with green hydropower. Cordell Hull Lake is one of the most popular lakes for fishing and hunting, as the area is largely natural and undeveloped.

Absolutely wonderful! Best trail riding experience I’ve ever had- beautiful scenery and a long ride with beautiful horses! Laura really knows what she’s doing and makes sure everyone is safe but also gets to have a lot of fun while riding! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Laura and her Student were wonderful. Very patient. This experience made me reconnect with my childhood. Last time I rode a horse was about 18 years ago. Very nice and sweet ladies. Highly recommend.

Hadn't ridden in awhile, and not in this style, but Laura took us on a nice long trail ride. She knows her horses well, and those Aussie saddles were quite comfortable. An enjoyable and relaxing afternoon around the lake.

This was a wonderful experience. The drive out to the location itself was unique. Perfect for a date day with a special someone. Laura, the host is a world class horse trainer. More like horse whisperer. I felt immersed in a unique experience at a very unique location. We felt safe and the hosts took all stops to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!
