Vad du kommer att göra

I will meet you at the bottom of the steps to the Capitoline Hill or Campidoglio. We will begin by walking up the gentle slope to Piazza del Campidoglio to see the marvelous square that was designed by Michelangelo, home to the famous Capitoline Museums.
Our next stop is the Theater of Marcellus dating all the way back to 12BC, and now home to a few lucky citizens who live in the apartments above the theater. Just a few steps away we find Porticus Octaviae, built by emperor Augustus in honor of his sister Octavia. It was the home to Rome’s fish market from the 15th to early 20th century.
The oldest Jewish Ghetto, constructed in 1555, the Jewish community thrived inside developing business trade, a unique and wonderful cuisine and even their own dialect of Italian. The Great Synagogue is a place of prayer and a vital cultural center for the Jewish community of Rome.
As we walk, I will point out some of the best places to have a meal and even stop for a taste of traditional Kosher gelato. Next, it’s a short walk to the magnificent Turtle Fountain where you will discover how it was famously constructed in just one day.
Finally, we head to Tiber Island which was used by the ancient Romans as a hospital with the river helping them as a natural barrier aiding to stop the spread of disease. This is a great place for a stunning view of the river and beautiful photo opportunities.
