Vad du kommer att göra

We will board the Mojo Van from West shore Napier (you can be picked up along the way) or meet out at Clifton Beach via the Marine Parade, Clive and Te Awanga.
The trek begins close to the Historic ‘Clifton’ Homestead and Hygge Cafe at this sleepy coastal settlement.
The first stretch takes us up and over the private coastal stations of Cape Kidnappers each with its own magnificent and unprecedented views and stories. We are privileged to visit Matarau Pa site at Rangaiika; here we honour the Rangitira who have facilitated the Bird Sanctuary in it’s journey to translocate native species back to the Cape.
Stopping at the rustic and inviting 'Dunes Hut' Ocean Beach for lunch, we boil the Billie and refuel; your lunch will never have tasted so good.
From here we continue along the stunning white sand beach, often wading in the shallows, watching for the seabirds which are slowly but surely returning to this sanctuary environment.
We then complete our walk at the Kauri Hut Ocean Beach as guests of Andy and Liz.
We always take the opportunity to give back to the places we walk in by planting a native tree on the sanctuary.
If you are up for it we will then be transported to our wine tasting at Clearview estate winery before being dropped at our vehicles or head home to Napier.

My name is Ange Tremain and I am the founder of Mojo Journeys. I have spent three years creating a range of trekking experiences in coastal Hawke's Bay and am proud to invite you to come along and learn about them them with me.

It has taken time to build relationships with land owners and I have been entrusted with the privilege of private access to some of the most soulful and idyllic coastal stations (farms) in our region.

I love to walk in these uplifting and authentic places sharing the local stories and personalities, so remarkable.

A well organised, personable guide who made us welcome, who was inclusive and fun, who also allowed us time for our own space and reflection, highly recommended.

The views, the knowledge, and the satisfaction at the end of knowing you did it, make it an absolute must-do. Ange is amazing and I felt privileged to be able to share in the relationships she's built and trek through all that we did.

The day trekking with Angela was fabulous and it was great to find out about the history, local initiatives and culture. There was always something to talk about and share. Lunch was simple and delicious. We had a great day out which ended with a few stories while tasting wine.

I had a wonderful day hiking Cape Kidnappers with Ange. She is a warm and interesting person to spend time with and brought such a personal touch to the experience. The walk itself was stunning and Ange has worked hard to make it all possible, gaining access to paths and sharing her knowledge of the place that would not be accessible otherwise. Spectacular views at every step. Ange provided a little box of healthy, yummy lunch and treats and the cuppa on the dunes was magic. Unforgettable. Would absolutely recommend this experience - well worth it.

I planned a trip to Napier solely to participate in this trip - and it was worth it. I have hiked many Great Walks across the globe, and now count this among my favorites. The unsurpassed beauty and peaceful setting made for an epic experience. Every detail of the day was expertly planned and flawlessly executed - from pickup, to morning tea at a special spot, to the bountiful and delicious lunch, and post-hike wine tasting. The hike itself was something I will never forget. The views were spectacular and it was wonderful to share the trails with only sheep and birds - there was no one else on them. It felt like a private oasis. Ange's tremendous knowledge of the history of the land and it's people made it even more special. She is a remarkable person and I feel so fortunate to have had the chance to enjoy this experience with her.

Where do we begin. My wife and I have had the opportunity to travel the world and go to some amazing places. The experience we had with Angie was one of the best ever. She was very accommodating with our timeframe and worked with us to craft an amazing day. Angie is kind, knowledgeable, athletic, intuitive, and conscientious. If you want to see parts of Hawke’s Bay that are mostly untouched and pristine, this hike is for you. If you are looking for a challenging hike with incredible views of mountains and water, this hike is for you. If you are looking for a fabulous, fresh, delicious lunch with 5 star views, this hike is for you. Every part of our journey was carefully planned by Angie. The value of this trip far, far exceeded the price. If you’re still reading this review just sign up now, you won’t regret it. We look forward to coming back to New Zealand and doing another hike with Angie. The rest of our trip was planned with a tour guide, but this experience was far superior. Thank you so much, Angie!!
