Vad du kommer att göra

Laughter Yoga combines unconditional laughter with Yogic Breathing. Anyone can laugh for no reason, without relying on humor, jokes or comedy. Laughter is simulated as a body exercise in a group; with eye contact and childlike playfulness, it soon turns into real and contagious laughter. It has been scientifically proven that the body cannot differentiate between fake and real laughter. One gets the same physiological and psychological benefits either way. The only rule is: FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT! Did you know laughing can actually improve your health? It draws people together in ways that trigger healthy physical and emotional changes in the body. Laughter strengthens your immune system, boosts mood, diminishes pain, reduces stress. We start with some rhythmic clapping and laughing. Everyone feels dorky at first but soon forced laughter gives way to the real thing. I will guide you through laughter "exercises" that require no skill or knowledge of traditional Yoga.

As a professional singer, I've spent much of my career trying to make audiences laugh. I created an award winning pod cast, Funny Jazz Chick, filmed live at famed Birdland Jazz club in NYC whose purpose was to infuse laughter into the serious jazz world. Those videos now boast over 300K views on my YouTube Channel. Knowing that laughter is the best medicine, I've also practiced Laughter Yoga at the Institute of Better Health in NYC for over 15 years. In 1995, scientific studies lead Dr Madan Kataria to create laughing "exercises" to boost the immune system, elevate mood, and reduces stress.

Laughter Yoga will be on the beach in front of my condo. Afterwards feel free to hang out on the beach, join a volleyball game, snorkel or go swimming the pool, Stroll down the beach to the massage tent or just chill under my palapa. As a bonus, check out the turtle hatchery during turtle nesting and hatching season which is June to mid November and learn about the famous Turtles of Akumal.
