You have 6 options to choose, just pick one of them:
Option 1: Local vegan : Vegan Rendang Tok and Acar nenas & timun.
Option 2: Fusion vegan : Vegan Burgers 3 different burgers; Jerk, Piri-Piri & Dwight's Beet and fresh baked homemade burger buns.
Option 3: Local vegan : Paceri Nanas and Bergedel Sayur
Option 4: Local vegan: Fried Kuey Teow and Malay Karipap Pusing.
Option 5: Local vegan : Malay-Style Rojak and Stuffed Bean Curd
Option 6: Local vegan : Lontong and Kuih Ketayap

NOTE: under the same time slot I'll be conducting either one of them, so if there were two groups with different options, the other group have to reschedule to a different time slot. If you're pressed for time, please let me know as well, coz the cooking time varies depending on the dishes & capability.

Upon arrival you will be served Lemongrass and pandan infused tea cold drinks

We shall start on the following;
Step 1: Introduction to all ingredients and where you can get them here locally.
Step 2: Preparing and assembling all the ingredients into a burger pate or a rendang paste, this involves chopping, peeling, pounding, squeezing, blending manually by hand or machines or both.
Step 3: Cooking and incorporating all ingredients that have been prepped earlier, dry and wet ingredients, this may take between 1 hour to 2 hours depending on the option.
Step 4: Plating and a sit-down meal together.
Other things to note
All products are plant based but please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, i.e. nuts, soy or gluten or coriander intolerance, I shall omit or find substitute for the ingredients.

I've been practicing vegan lifestyle since early 2013. Super passionate about cooking & preparing vegan meals from scratch using the good quality ingredients as much as possible. I grew up on home cook food, so it continues thru my adulthood as I cook my own meals everyday.
I've decades of local culinary experience coming from my late mother and grandmothers and they used to own a couple of restaurants. As a local vegan I've discovered and adapting many interest ingredients to incorporate it in our local cuisine. In a tropical country, most of the fresh produce are available all year long.
During my spare time I love experimenting with many different ingredients to create unique taste and textures as vegan foods need not be bland and boring but pack with flavours, interesting textures and surprisingly better than the original version.

Var ni kommer att vara

We will conduct our workshop in my cosy little dry and wet kitchen and dining area in a very relax environment where we can casually chat and play with my cats if they're not sleeping. If you're not keen on animals, I shall confine them to a different room. The work place has been cleaned and sanitized so don't worry about pets hair and stuff like that.

The place was easy to find. Upon arrival we were greeted by a homemade drink. Zurana then explained the dishes to us and showed us the ingredients before we started to cook together. She explained everything clearly and we were also send the recipes. The food -we had option 3 - was very delicious and we are looking to cook it again at home. Zurana was a very nice and attentive host. If you are interested in vegan food this is a very nice way to broaden your experience.

Awesome master class! I am a beginner vegan, and I really need to talk with people like these, as well as prepare delicious food. But my husband is not vegan, and I was worried about this. However, the mastery and friendliness of the hostess really inspired us! The husband was pleased with the vegan burgers and, and I'm happy! We drank an amazing lemongrass drink, ate organic ice cream, baked buns and made real veggie burgers! I recommend everyone such a master class💞

I would highly recommend this AirBnB experience with Zurana. She has an outstanding knowledge of local ingredients and where to find them. She had us help to prepare the food which makes the experience so enjoyable. She is friendly and lovely to get along with. We had the vegan rendang and acar nanas which was absolutely delicious and was able to be tailored to our spice tolerance - medium. I can't recommend this enough if you are vegan or vegetarian and want to try your hand at making and tasting some local Malaysian food!

Der vegane Kochkurs war super! Zurana hat sich so viel Mühe gegeben und ist total liebenswert! Zusammen haben wir Burger gemacht, die ausgezeichnet waren! Auf jeden Fall werde ich diese noch öfter machen und genießen :) danke für die schöne Zeit und das leckere Ergebnis!

Overall we really enjoyed this experience! Burgers were very delicious and also we got to learn so much about vegan cooking. Zurana was very welcoming and friendly too! I highly recommend :)
