Vad du kommer att göra
We'll begin on Saturday Morning at 10am for our Ayurvedic Workshop. We will discuss Ayurveda and Ayurvedic topics relating to gut health, seasonal eating, and lifestyle tips for two hours. An Ayurvedic meal will be prepared that is vegan and gluten free. You will receive 3-4 Ayurvedic recipes! At 12pm we will eat all together till around 12:30-12:45pm. We will take a 15 minute break after the workshop to collect our things and purchase any additional snacks. We will meet at 1pm outside of the classroom where we will then set off on our adventure exploring the beautiful nature of Santa Cruz! We will drive five minutes to the serene Wilder Ranch State Park from 1pm to 3pm. We will hike on a coastal trail overlooking the pacific ocean, flora and fauna along a gentle walk. During the hike we will take a break around the half way point by the beach to do a 10 minutes of guided meditation followed by 10 minutes of Pranayama (yogic breathing exercise). We will continue our hike for another half hour back to the car and drive to Hidden Peak Teahouse. Here we will experience a Gong Fu style Puerh tea as our discussion on wellness continues. We conclude our session here after two hours.
I am the founder of Santa Cruz Ayurveda, a wellness center located in downtown Santa Cruz. I have been clinically practicing Ayurveda, the science of life, for over seven years working with over 2000 clients. Ayurveda teaches us how to live in harmony with nature; following the circadian rhythm and seasonal eating. I have been passionate about health and healing since I was a little kid in Nepal. I have focused my practice around healing the digestive system to address various imbalances in body and mind. I am fully immersed in the practice of meditation, pranayama (yogic breathing), and yoga. I graduated from Mount Madonna Institute, College of Ayurveda in 2010 as a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and earned a Master of Arts in Ayurveda in 2012. I am recognized by NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) as a Ayurvedic Doctor.
