Kauai Animal Education Center is a family operated nonprofit, the only one on Kaua'i, with a unique and powerful mission. Through the spirit of ho'opono (to make proper) KAEC designs programs to educate and provide interaction with rescued native Hawaiian and farm animals, enhancing the community of Kaua'i while enriching the lives of keiki, (children) youth at risk, inmates and kupuna. Christy and her family were welcoming. It was evident that they are passionate about caring for the animals and the environment. The interaction with the animals was fantastic. So friendly. It is a challenge to find the farm. You might want to call before you get on the road to verify directions. We enjoyed this visit immensely. Mahalo

This experience was the high point of our trip to Kauai for our 7 year old twins; the experience that Christy created was custom tailored to their level, they had a lot of time to explore the space and animal interactions at their own pace, and Christy was incredibly knowledgeable about the work she's doing. We'll definitely do this again!
