Adirondack style treehouse cabin surrounded by a 99,000-acre national forest. Here guests enjoy hiking and mountain biking on the rugged forest service roads, or to more leisurely wander down to the spring-fed creek and look for fossils. In your cabin, you have a wrap-around porch, two super comfy beds, plus a full kitchen and bath. A six-cylinder or eight-cylinder vehicle is required to drive back up hill after unloading at your house. *Please note we have two beds, not four.
The 500 sq ft cabin is located in the beautiful 100,000 acres Homochitto National Forest. It is also on the the southern end of the Caston Creek WMA. Caston Creek has a host of wildlife such as whitetail deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, redhead woodpecker and other birds. There are numerous clear sandy creeks winding through the Homochitto Forest. We are located about 2 hours northwest of New Orleans and 2 hours northeast of Baton Rouge. The cabin it's self sits on a shady 2.5 acres of a mixture of pine and hardwood trees.
Our cabin is located on a secondary road behind a locked gate nestled in the forest on six acres of property surrounded by pine and hardwood. Beautiful Brushy Creek is steps away from the porch. The Homochitto National Forest is minutes away. Here you can enjoy hiking, biking or bird watching in the quiet while watching wildlife. We also have games & TV/DVD player hookup only. Take a day or afternoon & go looking for arrowheads, fossils & other treasures like gold rocks.
