Villa Mia is located on the famous south coast of Barbados within 3 mins walk of the beautiful Miami beach, restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place because of the location, the people, and the ambiance. It's great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (all age children are welcome) and groups.

Due to the corona virus we are taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

Families can be accommodated in our spacious and breezy ground floor two bedroom apartments. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and Air Conditioning. The living area is beautifully furnished and opens onto a dining area with seating for four which leads out onto a breezy private patio with outdoor seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner stove and oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cutlery, crockery and all the kitchen utensils required to prepare a meal.
This apartment also has a safe deposit box, Cable TV and super fast 240Mbs WiFi

There are a range of facilities on offer to all of our guests, including laundry facilities, a tranquil secluded tropical garden with alfresco dining and a swing under the mango tree to indulge the inner child in you. The mango tree is lit at night for that romantic glass of wine while sitting on the comfortable seating. When in season you can pick and enjoy our mangos and bananas

Lovely garden views extend from the private patio of this ground floor apartment with housekeeping service and laundry facilities. In addition hired cars, island activities and events can be arranged by us for your convenience. A Little Fishing Village with the beautiful Miami Beach within walking distance.

Oistins is a historic fishing and market town in the parish of Christ Church, on the south coast of Barbados. The town of Oistins is popular with both locals and tourists alike for its thriving fishing community and infamous Friday night Fish Fry cooking and serving up locally caught fish with ice cold Banks beer to wash it down. You can browse the street stalls and join in with the locals singing Karaoke.

There's a quaint village vibe in Oistins and you'll see boats bringing ashore freshly caught fish such as Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Kingfish, Marlin and the local delicacy (and one half of our national dish) Flying Fish, sold in the market at very affordable prices.

What's Around Town?

Oistins has a shopping complex area with a large Massey supermarket, a bank with ATM facilities and you can refuel at one of the gas stations plus doctors office and pharmacies. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. See our website for more details.

In this area, you'll also see many fishing boats hauled up in the dockyard being worked on in preparation for the fishing season which starts usually around November.

There is also big thriving fish market complete with an ice factory. Here, you'll see the fisherman off loading their catch of the day, and if you go just before sunset, you will also get the rare treat of seeing the turtles swimming along the boats hoping to get fed. This is where your bag of scraps comes in handy - watch the turtles multiply before your very eyes as you give them a special feeding treat.

St Lawrence Gap is a short bus ride away with lots of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and street markets.

Oistins ... Where The Action Is At

The town of Oistins is also home to the annual Oistins Fish Festival. This popular week-long festival of fish and street fair attracts both locals and visitors alike to support the local fishing community.

The Best Thing Is ...
The great thing about Oistins is that you can get fantastic food there any night of the week and at very affordable prices. So, if you prefer to stay away from the Friday night party vibe, head on down during the week for a meal, instead. You can usually expect to pay about $25BBD for a full dinner so come and try it for yourself!

We are there to offer advice on tours, restaurants, etc and to assist in any way we can. Barbados is our favorite island in the Caribbean, there is so much to do here or you can opt out and just hang loose. The social activities on the island are numerous, from horse racing and polo to fashion shows and great nightlife with lots of live music. Great golf courses as well.
