Abingdon is a delightful small colonial town in Southwest Va. It is home to the Virginia Creeper--a fabulous bike trail downhill from NC (34 miles) and the Barter Theater. Near Mt. Rogers, The Channels, and many beautiful recreational areas. Our home is set on 3 rolling acres just a mile outside of Abingdon, and just a mile and a half to a wonderful community center with indoor pool, outdoor pool (summer), full gym and hot tub. Please note that the pool and hot tub are at community center-2 mi.

The rain did not dampen our enthusiasm for this cozy mountain retreat. The bed and room were extremely comfortable. Jim whipped up a nutritious breakfast for us before we left, and the food and conversation were delightful! We will be back - with our own bikes next time.

Jim and Carroll were phenomenal hosts and very welcoming and accommodating. Had an issue with reservation (Airbnb issue not theirs) and they worked with us to get it straight. I will be staying there when visiting town again.

Jim was very hospitable and accommodating. Beautiful country side home where we went for a walk on the rolling hills. The large room is upstairs and the small bathroom is downstairs.

Yes, the bathroom is private and not shared with anyone else, but is in a small hallway at the base of the stairs going up to the suite above our rec. room.
