Our little Okarito home is cosy, yet still open and airy with windows looking out to the nearby Tasman Sea and mountains. Enjoy listening to the bellbirds singing through the day, watching the sun rise over the Okarito lagoon from the upper deck, the rays of the sunset over the bluff and the changing light from the many windows of this very comfortable cottage. The twin set of patio doors upstairs open up by day to overlook the Okarito lagoon and view out to the sea across the field.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Peaceful, quiet, clean, comfortable and beautiful. We hated to leave.

Nice location. Quite and comfortable. It was obvious that the owner had been away for a longer period of time. Some minor deficits in cleaning.

A great place to stay! About twenty minutes from Franz Josef but the isolation and quiet was perfect. Got the wood burner roaring to keep the bad weather at bay. Super comfortable bed and a great kitchen
