Welcome to Ammonite Loft, a stunning 2 bed-roomed apartment enjoying an elevated position with harbour views, tucked away in a traditional yard on Sandgate in the heart of Whitby’s East Side. This interesting property is over 200 years old and has been beautifully renovated to offer a twin and a king size room, each with their own en-suite, an ideal cottage for couples, friends or families, packed with original features and modern comfort. The East Side of Whitby is the old part of town, with cobbled streets and lots of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Sandgate runs alongside the harbour and parallel to Church Street which winds up to the 199 steps and the Abbey. It is the quieter of the two as it is pedestrianised. The apartment is above our Jet jewellery shop and Sandgate Sweet shop and is accessed from a traditional yard. It does have 27 external steps as it is 2nd and 3rd floor but the reward is a light and peaceful apartment in the centre of town with lovely views.
As it is in the town centre there can be some noise from people outside on the street.
