The house has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a big kitchen with a fireplace, a cosy living room also with a big old fireplace and a spectacular dinning room( conservatory) inserted in the first garden.
All rooms decorated with taste, many paintings and collector items that the owners brought back from their trips around the world. A real house to feel at home in. The house developes over 3 floors with 2 beautiful gardens and a big roof terrace with breathtaking views of the valley, ancient tiled roofs and surpising chimney pots. The floors are linked by antik staircases stone/ wood which might not be adapted for people with walking problems. From the roof top you can look over the entire valley enjoy the sun during the day and watching the stars over Cesi at night. If you like painting you will paint here.
And in the winter read your book streched out on the couch infront of an open fire. Prepare your buschetta on the fire and go back in time. The house sleeps comfortably 5 people or 2 couples and 2 childern but even for 2 people the house is cosy and offeres many corners worth discovering which makes the house unique. There are 3 bedrooms : the master bedroom, with double queen size bed, ensuite bathroom and views on the upper garden. The second bedroom, double bed with Frenche windows, will give you direct access to the uper garden and view over the whole valley. The third bedroom , a wide single bed 1.20m where 2 children will feel cosy and snug has again French windows with access to the upper garden.
Apart from the 2 inside bathrooms, there is a very convenient outside bathroom attached to the first garden, perfect for children.
The large welcoming kitchen on the ground floor offers a working fireplace where you can cook meat over coals ( we provide the wood). The original old winding staircase takes you up to a spacious living room and conservatory. Here again you can relax in the evening in front of an ancient fireplace or enjoy cool afternoons on hot Italian summer days. The conservatory with a stunning view of the first garden invites you to have your breakfast, lunch or dinner there.
The big ancient walls provide a natural air-condition effect for chilling out even on the hottest summer days and in the winter our modern fully functional modern heating system and fireplaces will keep you warm.

Cesi is perched on the mountain with picturesque narrow lanes and stairs that entwine the houses and invite you to discover how people used to live in the old days. Terni a great town for shopping is 10 down the road.
Our house is on a small street 50 m from the main piazza and like most of the houses in Cesi, not accessible by car unless you have a very small car and are a good driver. The car can be parked in the piazza 50 mt from the house or directly outside the village 100m.
We will help you if needed with your suitcases.

Andra saker att notera
I will leave you some brochures and info of trips, walks, shopping and restaurants in the area. ( Cesi has a very good restaurant if you don't feel like cooking too much. )Don't forget to visit Narni, Spoleto, Perugia,Todi,Assisi,Orvieto, and other unique medival village not more than 30 min. from Cesi. Just outside of Terni( 30 min. from Cesi) you will find Europe's highest waterfalls "Marmore" where every painter and poet stops to admire a unique Roman ingeneering masterpiece inserted in beautiful landscape.

Cesi, Umbrien, Italien

Cesi ( pronounced Chezzy), home of Federico Cesi , sponsor of Galileo Galilei and founder of the Accademia dei Lincei, is perched on the hillside overlooking Terni in southern Umbria and is the perfect place to discover central Italy as well as relaxing and sleeping well due to its altitude of 437m above sea level.
You can watch a video on Youtube by searching Cesi In The Sky.
You can get to Rome (1 hour by train) and yet sleep calm and sound in the quiet village of Cesi. Well-known historic towns such as Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia and many small medieval villages are all within easy reach (30 min. by car). Don’t forget to visit Piediluco lake and pass by Europe’s biggest waterfalls called Marmore on the way.
From our street you have direct access to Sant’Erasmo and Torre Magiore for splendid mountain hikes or just drive up and have dinner or lunch at one of the barbeque sites on the mountain. And if you feel like a swim you can go down to the lake “ il Mare di Terni “ (15 min by car ) or simply walk down to our friend’s hotel where you can have cold drinks relaxing around the swimming pool. Check Cesi on Wikipedia for the many things you can do and see during your stay.

The small borgo, which retains its late-medieval aspect, set among olive groves, lies "stretched out lengthwise along a narrow contour on the slopes of M. Torre Maggiore," about 10 km north of Terni at an altitude of 437 m, one of the southernmost peaks of the Monti Martani.

Ever since I stopped being a general director of an exhibition company I dedicate myself to my hobbies. I love creating gardens, decoration houses, travelling to antik markets ( I'm a collector of paintings and old porcellain),reading books, having good dinners with friends and listening to BBC2 oldies. When you come and stay in our house you will find all of this. The house in Cesi was our home for 30 years and now we live nearby in the country where there is a new garden to be created.
