Our Guest House is conveniently situation on the Durbanville Wine Route. There are over 120 km of world class mountain bike trails and 15 minutes from the beach. USE THIS LISTING TO BOOK GROUPS AS WE CAN MAKE ALL 4 ROOMS AVAILABLE.

Our Guest House is conveniently situation on the Durbanville Wine Route just 30 minutes from the Victory and Albert Water Front in Cape Town Centro. It has great views across the Meerandal Wine Estate and beyond to the mountains.

If you enjoy mountain biking, the Tygerberg Mountain Bike Club offers over 120 km of world class trails just across the road. In fact, the Cape Epic starts on these trails.

We can also arrange out rides on horseback.

We breed and race horses. The farm also has peacocks, parrots, koi, dogs and cats. The garden is a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the wild bird sanctuary and koi pond. The bird life is extraordinary. It is a place of refuge.

Recently completed, the style of the house sets a new trend in Afric-Chic design by combining sub-Sahara architecture with touches of Art Deco. The thatched roof lines were inspired by bedouin tents commonly seen in the desert. The colours are vivid and bold. It’s unique.

We offer a lounge with a fireplace, a large braai area (BBQ) and a warm welcoming dining area that resembles a bistro. The home theatre is also available for your enjoyment. There are 4 large bedrooms, all with an ensuite bathroom and queen or king size Simmons Pocket Coil mattresses. Your comfort is our focus.

Wireless internet, washing machine and modern kitchen with all amenities are available for your convenience. There are balconies with a loungers for you to relax and admire the Cape landscape.

A light breakfast consisting of: granola, toast, jams, rusks, tea and coffee, etc. will be provided between 7 and 9 am.

We live in the house and you will see us working with the horses or enjoying the garden. We are available to assist you in making your sightseeing plans and start your braai, turn on the home theatre, etc..

Minimum stay of seven nights is preferred.....however, we are flexible during off season.

I'm married to Pat who is from Devon England. I was born and raised in Alberta. We are now living on farm outside Cape Town. I have three sons all living in Calgary Alberta and doing well.

The first and most important thing in my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ, then its my wife Pat and my family and friends. We watch just about all the Super 15 rugby games with friends followed by a braai. We mountain bike over the Meerandal Wine Estate. We travel Southern Africa a lot and the most fun was jumping into the Devil's Pool at Vic falls...what a buzzz! A Game Park (Kruger, Pilansberg, etc.) is always fun, especially when we see the big cats. The form of relaxing I like best is listening to modern country music...the lyrics are so good...things of the heart. I normally read for information or factual history novels. I do, however, enjoy a good romantic comedy. I good laugh is so refreshing.
