Non-smoking studio located on the 12th floor of the Hawaiian Monarch in Waikiki, within walking distance to Waikiki beaches, shopping, restaurants, Ala Moana Shopping Center, and the Hawaii Convention Center. This is a small (223 sq. ft.) studio, furnished with a queen-size bed, a/c, free wi-fi, coffeemaker, microwave, and small refrigerator/freezer and is ideal for one or two guests maximum and is not appropriate for small children. Swimming pool, BBQ, coin-operated laundry, restaurants, convenience store and scooter/smart car rental on site. Parking is not included but there is limited free street parking in the nearby area or paid parking available in the attached garage for an additional fee (currently $30/day - paid in cash directly to garage).

The Building:
Hawaiian Monarch is a 44-story, 144-unit condo/hotel built in 1979 and conveniently located at the western (“Ewa") end of Waikiki between Ala Wai Boulevard and the intersections of Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalakaua Avenue. The common areas, reception desk, and 50 of the 144 units are managed by the Hawaiian Monarch hotel and the remainder of the units are privately owned (some occupied by long-term residents and others being used as vacation rentals). This is a secure building with 24/7 security on site and keycard-only access to the elevators and above the lobby area. The building also has an attached parking garage but it is privately owned and not associated with either the condo or the hotel.

Aloha! We’re East Coast (NY/PA/DC) transplants who’ve been living in Waikiki for over fifteen years. We’re both working professionals who love to travel, try new food, and meet interesting people. We currently own three studios in the Hawaiian Monarch building - one is on the 12th floor and the others are adjoining units on the 29th floor which have separate, locked entrances but share another entry door (all studios on the higher floors of the building have this setup). All are fully furnished with one queen-sized bed and are suitable for 1 or 2 people: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5387120 - Small studio on the west (less sunny/hot) side of the building with a canal/mountain view. It has a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot but no kitchen. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/9150540 - Smaller of the two adjoining studios with ocean/Diamond Head view. Full kitchenette, including refrigerator, sink, microwave, stove. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/9709468 - Slightly larger adjoining studio with ocean/Diamond Head view. Also has a full kitchenette like the smaller unit but the overall unit has just a bit more space. Our goal is to provide a clean, comfortable space at a reasonable price where our guests can relax after a fun day enjoying the beach and exploring the island.
