Park
“Any Dutchie will tell you that the moment the sun is out, we run towards to terraces and parks. Dutchies love their moment in the sun and because of that Vondelpark is the place to be. It has a large amount of cafe's, playgrounds and other diversions. ”

Marknad
“A big market to visit. In a very nice area of Amsterdam: called 'De Pijp'. I visit it many times for many reasons. And not only the market is a must to visit, but also the small streets and squares around this market are inspiring for food and drinks and shopping.”

Food Court
$$
“For the best street food go to Foodhallen, a compact indoor food court located in a former tram depot in Amsterdam West, where entrepreneurs sell snacks and drinks that can be enjoyed on the spot. Great vibe, quality food and great craft beers and G&Ts. We love it and it is very popular among foodies, both local and visiting. A 10 min bike or taxi ride away. The concept was inspired by ‘indoor food markets’ such as the Torvehallerne in Copenhagen, Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid and the Borough Market in London. The Foodhallen is part of the Hallen Amsterdam, a centre for media, culture, fashion, craftsmanship and food. So if you're up for a salsa lesson or want to see the latest indie movie, this is also the place to be. ”

“Take a walk around the park on a sunny day, then pop across the street to Koffie Ende Koeck, Haarlemmerweg 175, for a delicious (vegan) cake and coffee! Also check out before if there are any festivals (e.g food markets, jazz or wine festivals) taking place. Alternatively take your own picnic to the park, or enjoy the vibe in one of the many bars or restaurants!”

“Ticket is around 20 euro for adult, you get a tour and 2 beers in the end of the tour. Make use of your time and discount by purchasing your tickets online. It’s a tour that lets you feel at times like you’re living in a beer commercial. Takes about an hour and a half in total.”
