“The Cairns Aquarium has been developed to provide a world class venue for seeing and interacting with the incredible plants, animals, and habitats found only in Australia’s Wet Tropics, a region which borders two World Heritage listed environments: The Daintree Rainforest and The Great Barrier Reef. Protecting and conserving the biodiversity of these World Heritage listed ecosystems is the vision and the overriding passion of our founders Daniel Leipnik and Andrew Preston and this commitment underpins our business philosophy and team culture. ”

“They have the Army Duck that takes you into the lagoon that has crocodiles - one of the best tours we have taken. There is lots of activities including feeding the wallabies. Zoo
“Located at the top of the Reef Casino is the Dome. You can either do the entry only which gets you up close with the animals, including a real crocodile. Look out for Chloe that does the talks about snakes and other animals - she is great. For those more adventurous you can do the Zoom circuit - which my niece and nephew just LOVE to do - particularly when you have to zip over the top of the crocodile!!”
