Hotell

“If you visit the bar/restaurant in this hotel, you wouldn't believe that it was previously a JAIL! The Liberty Lobby Bar has an energetic, social atmosphere to it with walls draped in beautiful artwork. Not to mention they have an incredible list of cocktails---my favorite is the Inferno! ”

“Amazing European style confections, chocolate-based and otherwise, amazing coffee. You feel like you are NOT in Harvard Square, but somewhere where time is not a commodity. It 's been here for a long time, relatively speaking, which speaks to its high standards. ”

Pub

“An Irish pub with way better food than you'd expect. Get a Guinness and the shepherd's pie. Or the fish and chips. Or the veggie burger. You cannot go wrong! They also have live Irish music on the weekends. Tell them that Juliana and Brendan sent you.”

“Katie and Andy have a assembled a team of amazing staff to create one of my favorite cafes in Boston (and maybe anywhere). They are gluten-free and vegan-friendly - if that is a concern of yours... or you can shove your face into a gluten-filled non-vegan biscuit or cake! Their coffee... killer. Their sandwiches... awesome. Andy and the team... LOVE THEM. Their stuff is so good that I brought 6 pieces of their sweet potato cake with me to Europe when I left for a year-long trip. Tip... lines can be long, but they move along quickly. Seating can be a challenge. Late morning or super early on weekdays is best. Weekends are always busy. Well worth the visit!”

Science Museum
“Museum - If you dig STEM, the MIT Museum is a great destination. A smaller museum (2 hours) with impressive collections: kinetic sculptures, numerous interactive displays, interesting display of holograms. Good mix of design, photography as well as engineering pieces made by faculty. Afterwords, grab a bite to eat at Naco Taco or treat yourself to Flour's bakery items.”
