“This is a brand new park along our downtown river front. In the summer kids can play in the fountains and you'll find a festival every weekend. During the holidays you can'y beat the light displays! Look for the deer on the bridge! ”

“Some lovely trails through woods with massive 100-foot-high shale bluff towering over the Olentangy State Scenic River. Tributary streams cutting across the bluff have created a number of deep ravines in the eastern part of the 1,200-acre park. Ohio and Olentangy shales, often containing outstanding large concretions, are exposed on the bluff face and sides of the ravines. My favorite park to go for walks in town.”

“Whetstone’s Park of Roses is in the Clintonville neighborhood and is about a 10 minute drive from our Airbnb. The roses will not disappoint in season. Clintonville is also a wonderful neighborhood to explore along High St, but you probably want to start your walk around the intersection of North Broadway and High St which is a little south of the Park of Roses. Walking south from North Broadway you’ll find some great antique shops. ”

“Hayden Falls Park is located on the West side of the Scioto River, just along Hayden Run Road, West of Griggs Reservoir bridge. A boardwalk, steps and an overlook were constructed in 2006 to aid in accessibility of the community viewers, but as to protect the natural ecosystem as well. There are a few picnic tables are on upper level and a small parking lot is also available. This park includes a unique gorge habitat that only occurs along the western shore of the Scioto River. This ecosystem is home to a beautiful 35-foot waterfall and also rare and endangered plants.”
