“This bar / restaurant is located on Boscombe Beach and again is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a slightly more up-market restaurant upstairs which serves great food and has fantastic views or downstairs you can sit and just have drink or have something from the bar menu. Dogs are welcome here, but only downstairs.”

“An amazing "secret island" of adventure just like in an Enid Blyton book. Take the ferry from Poole quay and find the Red Squirrels and peacocks who own the island. There are cottage ruins to explore and secret beaches to find and paddle in the sea. Let the children explore and roam in an ideallic setting.”

“The Hive Beach Café is located right on the beach at Burton Bradstock on the Jurassic Coast. With far reaching views across Lyme Bay and Chesil Beach. It's the perfect location to enjoy fresh, local seafood, homemade cakes or just a simple cup of tea. They use locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and support local suppliers wherever possible. When available they serve fish straight from the very shoreline you’ll be eating on. As a result, their comprehensive menu slowly evolves through the seasons. Now in it's 27th year of trading, the cafe has become a popular and well established eatery favoured by locals and holiday makers alike. With our sister cafe 'The Watch House Cafe' in West Bay in it's 8th year and our most recently opened restaurant 'The Club House' along the coast in West Bexington, the Hive brand has spread along the rugged West Dorset coastline over the years, always offering quality seafood infused menus in some of the finest locations. ”

“The iconic Cobb wall is an historic stone pier that stretches out to sea to protect the harbour at Lyme Regis. It famously features in Jane Austen's 'Persuasion' and was a memorable feature of John Fowles' novel 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' and the film adaptation (1981) featuring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons. ”

“Hengistbury Head- Large Car Park and Cafe. You can walk over the Head with views of the beach (harder route) or You can walk through the woodlands by the river to the Hengistbury Head Spit or take the land train. Walking takes about twenty minutes, you will see lots of people walking, dog walkers and cyclist (no cars allowed to Spit). When you reach the spit there is lots of beach huts, river on one side and the sea on the other side. Great beach and Views. Cafe the Hut is in middle, also serves meals at night but best to book. Can also Park at Mudeford and get ferry across.”

“The food here is excellent - you can tell they use fresh ingredients and the menu has some interesting choices. It's very stylish - country and unpretentious but comfortable and inviting. It's also worth a visit for the drive through the Fonthill Bishop Estate - beautiful, stretched out well kept paddocks and fields with horses grazing and attractive wooden fences...Very English country! ”
