“14 Henrietta Street is a newly opened museum in a restored 18th century Victorian townhouse which charts the social history of the building from the home of Lord Viscount Molesworth to twentieth century tenement. The building has been rescued from decline and carefully restored into a living history museum which is only accessible via guided tour, which together with stories, short videos and the building itself, bring the story of 14 Henrietta Street, and the story of Dublin alive ”

“ Take a tour of the most iconic recording studios and rehearsal spaces in Ireland, see exclusive memorabilia and hear the stories of bands and pop stars including Thin Lizzy, U2 and Rihanna. You can even have a real-life rock-star experience by ‘starting your own band’ in the museum’s jam room. I recommend: recording yourself singing karaoke at the end of the tour.”

The most unusual feature of this tower is the very pronounced buttress at the base which is constructed with a different type of stone to the tower. The series of steps was believed to be added to the buttress in the late 19th century. There are 6 windows in the tower and the top 4 of them point north, south, east and west. The church of St John, on the opposite side of the road, h”
