We'll meet you on Wilmington Island, just 15 minutes from downtown Savannah and raise sail in the Wilmington River. You can sit back and relax or learn how to sail and take control under the guidance of your knowledgeable and friendly captain. While I can't guarantee dolphins, gorgeous sunsets, or new friends, the odds are certainly in our favor. The wind will fill the sails and gently push us along as you soak in beautiful views of the islands and marshes that make the Lowcountry so special. This is a truly unique experience that will get you off the beaten path and give you a taste of Savannah from a local's perspective! If we're not able to sail due to the weather, we'll try to reschedule for a time that fits your schedule. If that's not possible you will receive a full refund. Featured on Netflix's "Love is Blind" and "World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals," this is a unique experience. Sometimes Figgy the Llama chooses to join the yoga class. Other times, you can see the llamas & alpacas roaming through the glass. We never force them to be inside, so that's up to them. When you arrive at our beautiful urban farm, you will be greeted by a spoiled crew of rescued and alpacas. Take a moment to photograph them or take selfies. Walk down through our garden, down a stone lined path and enter the magical world of camelids, bamboo, and listen to the sound of the fountain at the center of the courtyard. To your left, you'll take in the gorgeous barn with 1900s barn doors, enter the beautiful space. The barn is built from reclaimed barn wood, 1860 stained glass window, old beams, old doors and windows. The structure is composed of reclaimed antique glass doors so you can see the bamboo forest, the alpacas, the llamas. Just beyond the bamboo is the treehouse. Our wonderful instructor will then greet you and ground you and take you through the most zen, magical yoga experience. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our family and our herd of 7 sweet and fluffy Huacaya Alpacas. We will provide a brief overview of the farm rules and steps to have the most amazing experience. We will then share our story about how we traded in business suits for muck boots and flannels and realized our dream of starting an Alpaca farm and sharing these amazing animals with our local community and beyond. Next we will provide a little education on the history of Alpacas, what a typical day looks like for the herd and some interesting facts about the animals in general. We will then give guests a bowl of grain and alfalfa hay and let everyone hand-feed or bowl feed the animals of your choice. If you’re more adventurous, you can put a bit of alfalfa hay in between your teeth and get a kiss from a member of the herd! Next we will let you roam with the alpacas in the pasture where you can be amongst them, take pictures of the beautiful scenery and soak in the fresh air and nature. And to end it all, we will take pictures of your group with the Alpacas and give you time to browse our farm store that is made up of items made from the fiber of the Alpacas. **We are a working farm so please be reminded to dress appropriately. The Art of Custom Drum Building Experience. I will show you how drums are crafted from start to finish - from a raw piece of wood to a high-quality snare drum. Guests will come in and be guided on a tour through the workshop. We will discuss the whole process. I will share some great stories from my experience over the years. You will then be invited to join Michael in the studio where you can play on a variety of drums and instruments of your choice. This experience offers you the chance to see how drums are made first-hand. It will also teach you the importance of sound quality and bearing edges which you can implement on your own drums. Ask questions and take pictures as you like. We will do a short demonstration on cutting logs, sawing, and milling! A portion of the time will be dedicated to drum tuning and mechanics, so if you have a drum to work on, bring it! This experience is great for individuals and small groups looking for private sessions to learn the craft of drum building! Join us for an immersive group glassblowing lesson at Blown Studios in Savannah, GA! This unique experience allows you the opportunity to get hands on creating your own original piece of glass art! You class also includes a tour of the Hot Shop and Gallery, followed by an overview of the tools and equipment used in the glassblowing process.
