“The shopping mall on the ground floor, once Manzana de Gomez alluding to its first owner, it's the oldest commercial facility in Havana. The structure, built in 1910, was the first of this type in Cuba. Manzana de Gómez was the first complex built for commercial purposes in the city, with two diagonal streets traversing the building.”

Public Art
“A beautiful tour, a modest neighborhood, an attractive proposal full of Cuban colors, ideas and symbolisms. A completely different gallery. Fuster Jaimanitas offers the enjoyment of works of art that cover and decorate houses, gardens and streets in western Havana. An excellent offer that will make you appreciate, in a different way, the culture of Cubans, the love for their environment and the scope of art for the good of all.”

“Cuba’s proximity to the equator means that it’s always beach season in Havana. The island’s entire coastline is pretty much a white sand, turquoise-watered dream, so it’s hard to go wrong with picking a beach. If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, head to Santa María del Mar, the biggest and most well-known beach in Havana. The downside to this one, though, is the crowds. But if you’re visiting in the autumn or winter you should be ok. If you’re looking for a quieter beach day that isn’t as popular with tourists, try Playa Boca Ciega. Or even better, Playa Jibacoa (my favorite beach in Cuba).”

“If you are really into Asian cuisine, don't miss this place out. You'll get Chinese dishes recreated in a Cuban fashion. The Chinese presence in Cuba dates back to the early XIX century. The adaptation of Chinese culinary in Cuba was a genuine process, as a result of immigration into the island and the different socioeconomic conditions encountered by immigrants. ”

Historisk plats
“Even without any artifact to display, the Museum of the City of Havana would remain an unmissable visit, courtesy of the opulent Palace in which it resides. The Palace of the Captains General is the most important building of the Plaza de Armas and one of the most representative works of baroque architecture in Latin America. It dates from the 1770s and is a manual of Cuban Baroque architecture, carved in rock extracted from the nearby San Lázaro quarries. Occupying the entire west side of the plaza, the palace stands on the site of the demolished Parroquia Mayor, the first church in Havana.”
