“The legendary Taiwanese dim sum restaurant opened their first Hong Kong branch in Causeway Bay before moving onto an additional three other locations dotted around town, although this is still our favourite. The expertly crafted xialongbao (a sort of twisted dim sum with a range of fillings) are by-now legendary and an absolute must try, especially the fancy black truffle and pork. Other highlights include tofu with crab roe and the classic salabao steamed buns with a range of fillings. One of the best things about Din Tai Fung is the food is typically less oily than other dim sum joints around town. Opening Hours: 11:30 - 22:00 Address: G/F, Delay No Mall, 68 Yee Wo St, Causeway Bay Tel: +852 3160 8998 ”

“Street food turned restaurant, consistently ranked top Vietnamese place in town. While waiting outside, you sit on beer cases turned chairs, overlooking the busy intersection of Peel, Elgin and Staunton Street. This place always has a positive vibe to it and is busy busy busy for dinner. From their homepage " Chôm Chôm kitchen & bar brings Vietnam’s lively Bia Hoi tradition of sipping fresh beer on busy street corners to Peel Street in Hong Kong’s vibrant Soho district. The menu is inspired by classic Hanoi street foods and meant to pair with the bar’s diverse selection of regional Vietnamese beers."”

“Tim Ho Wan is one of the world’s most famous Hong Kong Dim Sum restaurants. Founder Chef Mak Gui Pui and Chef Leung Fai Keung started the first restaurant in Mong Kok March 2009 carrying the concept of “Freshly made to order”. Promise to serve the food at its best taste but the most affordable price. It allows every ordinary people to enjoy the 5-star culinary art. The restaurant found its international renown when the original Mong Kok branch dèbuted in the 2010 edition of the Michelin Guide. Since then, the brand has been continuously starred by the guide book with two more expended outlets in Hong Kong. Tim Ho Wan’s most popular dishes are The pork buns, the Steamed Egg Cake, Vermicell”

Tapas-restaurang

“The star of the recent crop of new tapas restaurants to open in Hong Kong, this tiny, trendy spot is packed from open to close. But the long wait (the restaurant doesn't take reservations) is worth it for exquisite, playful small plates by much-buzzed-about young British chef Jason Atherton. Molecular gastronomy techniques are on display in dishes like crispy fish skin with dollops of foamy cod mousse and the house sangria with powdered raspberry. Others, like a recent special of beef cheeks on toast with anchovy butter are pure luxe comfort food. ”
