“South Ken is bursting with amazing museums. The V&A is hard to beat (for grown ups). It's free to get in and on a sunny day there are few nicer places to eat than in its central courtyard. It's a 40 minute walk over Albert Bridge and through South Ken (or a 15 minute bus ride - 49 or 345). ”

“Between the Tate Modern and Tate Britain we have two of London’s most renowned art spaces. The Tate Britain is a slice of the past with the Modern located in London’s artist heartland, situated along the South Bank of the Thames. Visiting the area you’ll be spoilt for choice, from the National Theatre, Hayward Gallery, British Film Institution and Royal Festival Hall, not to mention one of the cities oldest skate zones. Unlike in many cities the majority of London’s galleries and museums are free to entry. Though at the Tate there will be the blockbuster exhibition you’ll need to pay to get in and definitely book online before going.”

History Museum
“This impressive museum covers the wars of the last century-- from World War 1 Biplanes, to the rise of fascism, to Montgomery's Africa campaign, to the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, The trouble in Northern Ireland, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and terrorism. Rather than glorify war, the museum encourages an understanding of the history of modern warfare and the wartime experience, including the effect it has on everyday lives of the people back home. ”
