“Good place to start exploring the south side of Manhattan, the Financial District, Wall Street, and the likes. Came on winter so the trees are dry. Good view overlooking the ocean, on clear weather Liberty is looking good. Easy access to subway system and ferries to Ellis Island. ”

“Grand Central is not only the world's largest (76 acres) and the nation's busiest railway station—nearly 700,000 commuters and subway riders use it daily—but also one of the world's most magnificent, majestic public spaces. Past the glimmering chandeliers of the waiting room is the jaw-dropping main concourse, 200 feet long, 120 feet wide, and 120 feet (roughly 12 stories) high, modeled after an ancient Roman public bath. Overhead, a twinkling fiber-optic map of the constellations covers the robin's egg–blue ceiling. To admire it all with some sense of peace, avoid visiting at rush hour.”

“My husband and I enjoyed taking this cruise a few years ago. We took lots of pictures of the Statue of Liberty from the boat and learned some interesting facts about New York. (You may need to take a certain cruise to see the Statue of Liberty.)”

“There is so much to do from Pier 6, all the way along to Dumbo. By Pier 6, you have climbing park, sand village, water village, all kinds of sports along the water (netball, basketball, pop up swimming pool, soccer, roller skating, outdoor gym equipment etc). There is Kayaking, boats to Governor's island and gorgeous views to name a few. Don't miss the delicious Ample Hills Creamery for ice cream along the way. ”

“Bedford Avenue and Lafayette Avenue have a G train stop for movement inside Brooklyn only. Take the G north towards Court Square getting off on the Metropolitan/Lorimer stop for underground connection to the L train or to visit Williamsburg.”

“The biggest park in the area w/beautiful views of the Statue of liberty and Ellis Island. Tips from an article about the park: Take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, which is available at the park. The park features a multitude of activities and its visitors' and interpretive centers provide historical background information. There is boating and canoeing on the Hudson River and New York Bay, plus picnic areas, a playground, food concessions, areas for fishing and crabbing and a marina. The park also features trails for hiking, biking, nature walks and fitness and it's the site of spectacular Fourth of July fireworks.”

“While ticket sellers will try to make you purchase tickets to see the Statue of Liberty, you can hop on the Staten Island Ferry to see Lady Liberty up close as well as the Verrazano's Narrow's Bridge. If you wish to step foot onto Liberty Island, I recommend getting tickets online via Groupon as they may be twice as cheeper than getting it from a ticket agent.”
