Konstmuseum
“My favorite! Been a member for years and even a docent at one time. Permanent collections and a special exhibit room that changes frequently - look it up; you won't be disappointed. ”

“Must see lighthouse! Make sure to walk the path around the park (if you're facing the headlight, it runs along the cliff to the left) and drink in the sights and smells. ”

“It's really the only reason to go to Peak's Island unless you live there or are going to a wedding. Or having a wedding. I had my first one there, enough said. Anyway, there must be over 100 umbrella covers from all over the world (there's even an adults only room) AND you get serenaded by curator Nancy 3 Hoffman on accordion. What's not to love? It's not a secret spot though, it's been featured on The Weather Channel! OK, maybe it IS secret because who watches The Weather Channel anyway?”

Synagogue
“Restored Etz Chaim Synagogue, a turn-of-the-century immigrant era house of worship, transformed into the Maine Jewish Museum. The first floor gallery showcases rotating exhibits by contemporary Jewish artists from Maine. From the second floor, visitors enter the main sanctuary and can gain an understanding of religious practices and beliefs through objects and architecture. In the vestibule of the new elevator addition is the photo exhibit of holocaust survivors who settled in Maine, accompanied by excerpts of their oral testimonies. Historic exhibits on the third floor highlighting the contributions and accomplishments of Maine’s original Jewish immigrants.”
