History Museum
“The Museum of Man is exactly what it sounds like: an anthropologic museum of ancient artifacts and the history of humans. Mummies, ancient findings, and evolutionary evidence is the majority of the exhibits but there’s also exhibits just for kids with interactive learning as well. To get into the California Tower is an extra $5 and the St. Francis Chapel is very beautiful and a must see if you are going to the museum. $5 extra for the tower isn’t so steep, considering the admission is only $13. ”

Museum
“ The Lux Art Institute is quite unlike the stiff, uptight museums that people often associate with contemporary art. Rather, the Lux Art Institute resonates the relaxed vibe that Encinitas is well known for. At the Lux Art Institute, viewers can see the art as it unfolds – it is not at all uncommon for visitors to be able to watch the artists as they work. Visitors may also unleash their creative sides by participating in the art camps and various education courses that the museum regularly offers”

Library
“ Officially opened in 1997, the Earl & Birdie Taylor Library was built thanks to a generous donation from the Taylor family, library supporters and early real estate developers in Pacific Beach. The 12,484-square-foot library is walking distance from the beach, located on a city block dedicated to the library facility and a passive park space. Architect Manuel Oncina designed the library building to be open and airy, resembling the form of a nautilus shell to incorporate the natural beauty of the ocean. Featuring a large meeting room, projection screen and grand piano, the library is a destination for community groups and performers. The Pacific Beach community has been home to a library since 1914 when the original library operated from inside the lobby of the Pacific Beach Women's Club on Hornblend Street.”
