Theme Park Ride / Attraction
“Although it was only built in 2012, the Seattle Great Wheel has quickly become a fixture of the city’s skyline—plus it adds an entirely new sightseeing perspective, thanks to its location perched on the end of Pier 57. Enjoy three revolutions around in one of the air-conditioned gondolas to see the city, water, and mountains on the horizon.”

“Amazing baked goods that are one of a kind by an amazing chef. Sweet or savory, I have YET to find ANYTHING I have not liked. Chocolates are to die for and their savory Quiche and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. ”

“If you are looking for a place to stay for games at Husky Stadium or to visit the campus of the University of Washington, you have found the right place. A short ten minute drive away, there is also a bus that will take you there that is a few blocks from our home.”

“There are as many sides to Capitol Hill as there are the types of coffee in this caffeinated city. The top of the Hill houses the historic and hauntingly beautiful Volunteer Park, designed by the famed Olmsted brothers. The park houses a beautiful conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum (currently closed for renovation). There's also the iconic "Black Sun" sculpture by Isamu Noguchi that you can climb into or take pictures of the Space Needle through. There are good views of the Space Needle from the top of the park. As you drive down the neighborhood you pass numerous beautifully restored historic homes. An afternoon spent wandering this neighborhood and the park would not be wasted! Capitol Hill is also the home of wonderful restaurants. Ramen Danbo, Cascina Spinasse and Terra Plata, just to name a few. Also check out the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room; don't bother with the original Starbucks at Pike Place Market. And if you have a vegan friend with you, take them to Frankie and Jo's and they will love you forever for it! Capitol Hill boasts a music scene. My sister and her partner fly down from Anchorage just to see bands play in "Cap Hill"—as locals call it. Capitol Hill is a 15-minute drive from the Woodside Suite. ”
