History Museum
“The most visited museum in Stockholm. Basically - it’s showcasing only one item - a ship (The Vasa) that sank more than 300 years ago. This museum is located on Djurgården island, 10 min walk from Skansen. There are free tour guides (in English, and perhaps other languages) fairly frequently. ”

Deli / Bodega

“The world’s oldest open-air museum & zoo with local animals on the island of Djurgården. See traditional Swedish houses and farmsteads from every part of the country as well as the local animals like the Reindeer, Elk/Moose etc. Also you get to see pretty good (not fantastic though) panorama views of Stockholm. Strongly recommend. Open usually from 10am to 3pm. Entrance is 160 kr on weekends. otherwise 125kr per person. Authentic, Swedish and glorious. ”

“The old town and probably the most visited area in Stockholm by tourists. Little narrow streets, souvenir shops, old German churches and buildings, basement restaurants & cafes and The King’s Castle (not recommended paying admission to go inside - its unimpressive). During December, there is also a small Xmas market with little cabins. How to get there: Take the train from Solna Station towards Stockholm City. Get off at Stockholm City (2 stops) and switch to the metro to get to Gamla Stan (1 stop). You can also walk from the Stockholm City station on the main street Drottninggatan (takes 15-20 min).”

“The Modern Museum of Art on Skeppsholmen, is always worth a visit. It has one of the worlds best collections of contemporary and modernist art, as well as always world class temporary shows and exhibitions. Also great architecture and located on Skeppsholmen, a small and beautiful island in the absolute centre of Stockholm. ”

“This is where you can get the real overview of Stockholm, now that Kaknästornet is closed. Globen in spectacular multicolored nearness, the dark archipelago to the east. Coctailbar, but you can dine here to!”
