Beach
“With 230 parks in Vancouver, its hard to know which to suggest. But we have so many beach parks that you can go from one to another. Go south over The Burrard Bridge, wide pedestrian and bicycle lanes, or take the ferry from the Aquatic Centre at Sunset beach at the south end of Thurlow Street, beside my building, over to this beach area. The ferry takes you to Vanier Park, and its right beside Kitsilano Beach Park with an ENORMOUS heated salt water pool right at the beach. Its 137.5 metres (150 yds x 60 ft wide). Follow a paved path west from Kitsilano in front of some gorgeous waterfront homes. There are little waterfront parks all the way along this path between the houses. ”

“This biodome has butterflies, birds, tropical plants and is a great place to explore. It's very affordable (around $5). While you're there, you can enjoy the grounds of Queen Elizabeth Park and to take in one of the best views of the city. Expect to spend up to an hour in the Conservatory and perhaps another hour exploring the park. There is also an high end restaurant up on the hill and a pitch and putt golf course. ”

Park
“Another park by the waters! Much larger with lots of outdoor activities. You'll usually find many people walking about, biking, or even just suntanning in the middle of the large field. There's a playground for children and overall a great place to be around.”
