Thursday from 3pm they have the night market with fruit and veg stall a few food stalls and a musician playing, it's small but nice. It's a nice place to eat and find a free parking spot before a game at the Metricon Stadium as you can walk across the road to the stadium from there.

The Theme parks are less than 20minutes drive north along the M1 to Wet'n'Wild, Movie World and Australian Outback Spectacular which has great dinner and show deals.
5 minutes further north take you to Dream World and White Water World.

Broadbeach is a great place to visit, not only does it have the new Pacific fair but it also has the Oasis shopping centre, the Mall and the surrounding streets full of eateries, bars and boutiques. Although a lot smaller than the others mentioned previously, the Oasis centre has some nice boutiques, restaurants and cafe's and a woollies for your convenience. As well as the surf club, it has a beautiful beach and great market stalls on some weekends. Broadbeach is a nice place to wonder around or just sit and watch the world go by. It has great nite life, is home to the casino which has a variety of bars and clubs, dinning, shows and late night entertainment.
