Beaches
This is one of our favorite beaches nearby. It is quiet and relaxing. When you go into the parking lot, is not too appealing but as you walk to the beach, you will see this is a good one to spend your time.
There is shower, bathroom and picnic table.
It is close to Tamara Supermarket, Long’s, restaurant and is less than 5 minutes away from our place.

Kalela Beach

This is a pleasant hike, all paved road. To the end of the hike, you can see beautiful view of Waimea beach. Very peaceful spot.
Might need to park somewhere and walk to the entrance during COVID.

Pu'u O Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site
59-818 Kamehameha HwyThis is a pleasant hike, all paved road. To the end of the hike, you can see beautiful view of Waimea beach. Very peaceful spot.

Great Local Food
Must eat. Forget about those overrated internet food suggestion. This is great local food. Some of our family favorites: Boneless braised Kalbi, pan fried poke plate and garlic shrimp. We come here every time we come, during and leave Hawaii.

This is a unique place to visit, learn about the Polynesian culture and enjoy different shows in there. There is a Marketplace there that you can shop and eat.

Beautiful temple. It might not open during COVID. But is worth driving by.
