Haarlem is a town located about a 15 minute trainride form Amsterdam. Haarlem is the city with the most churches per person in the country. They have amazing old squares, some great museums and also canals! A little bit less crowded than Amsterdam, Haarlem is a great alternative and you will probably see some things you weren't expecting to find in Holland!
