Less than a 5 minute drive west will bring you to the Golf Courses at Lawsonia, featuring The Links, highlighted by Golf Digest in their list of America's Top 100 Public Golf Courses, and is one of the last true links style courses you can find in the country. You'll also find The Woodlands at Lawsonia, which features secluded tree-lined holes and plenty of wildlife, for another fantastic round of golf.

The area surrounding the Cottage is perfect for walks, bike rides, long-boarding, or roller-blading. Just a mile or so west will lead you into the scenic Green Lake Conference Center, with plenty of roads to explore, and fun free activities like disc golf, volleyball, a sand beach, and more. A couple miles to the east and you're back in the township of Greenlake where you can check out the local shops and restaurants.

If you're looking for warm shallow water, take the boat and head over to Norwegian Bay. A local favorite due to the depth and sheltered location and sandy bottom, you're sure to have a little company on a hot summer day.
