The "big" ski resort in the State. A full day of skiing, and a cool little town. 30 minutes from Anchorage along a beautiful stretch of coastal highway. Great place summer and winter. Take the tram for a great view of Turnagain Arm!

At one time, the most visited place in Alaska. To see the glacier now, you need to take a short cruise. 45-60 minutes from Anchorage. Plenty of glaciers to see on the drive too.

Best Chinese food in town. Cheap, fast, delicious. Don't bother with delivery, you want this stuff fresh! It's a small, local Chinese restaurant, so don't be disappointed in the atmosphere.

Best restaurant in the state. Bar none, no comparison. They call it "Cajun", but don't assume just spicy fish. Rated the best pepper steak in the US. Beautiful 45 minute drive.
