Beautiful park within few minutes drive from our rental. It’s a must-visit if you are visiting with your dog - it has a large field for chasing the ball, neat short trail, and a dog beach. The views are outstanding! There is also a boat launch at this park.

Cedar Creek Park
5200 Lakeshore RdBeautiful park within few minutes drive from our rental. It’s a must-visit if you are visiting with your dog - it has a large field for chasing the ball, neat short trail, and a dog beach. The views are outstanding! There is also a boat launch at this park.
Only 5 minutes from our place, it’s an easy and short walking trail with beautiful views, which extends into a longer and more difficult hike. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning! Visit during late spring, summer or fall. Don’t recommend this place during winter and in early spring unless you have tire chains or studded winter tires.

Johns Family Nature Conservancy
6970 Chute Lake RdOnly 5 minutes from our place, it’s an easy and short walking trail with beautiful views, which extends into a longer and more difficult hike. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning! Visit during late spring, summer or fall. Don’t recommend this place during winter and in early spring unless you have tire chains or studded winter tires.

Sandy beach, great location (close to food, coffee, local micro-brewery and a hip plant-based cafe). Lovely place for all ages and in all seasons.

Beautiful park, it is less frequented by tourists and hence is not as busy as Boyce-Gyro beach. It’s perfect for paddle-boarding, kayaking and swimming, as well as for a walk in the park with a stunning view. You will need swimming shoes to get in the water at this location.
