During the hot summer months you can experience cooler weather with beautiful sights and wild animals such as packs of horses, donkies, and squirls. During winter this is the only area in the lasvegas vally where you can experience show and practice verious winter sports especially at the ski area. Mount Charleston also has a historical point where you can see where atomic testing was conducted. There are also various hiking trails and camping areas. And a beautiful restaurant. This area is about 30 min from our airbnb

As the name suggests this canyon is filled with a unique landscape of red looking rocks caused by a large amount of iron in the mountain. But that is not all that the Canyon offers. There is a museum at the visitor center, bicycle riding area, verious trails, and rock climbing areas. There is also an area where you can ride horses.
