I've played the Spy Glass course at California's Pebble Beach lodge; this course is absolutely it's equal! There are 18 meticulously groomed holes; the views of Brimley Bay are un-paralleled. The golf course is a five-minute drive from the cabin.

You'll want to take a leisurely 30-minute drive up the scenic byway that is Lakeshore Drive. You will find museums, an expansive sand beach (handy capped accessible); and, if you like sweets, the best chocolate fudge I've ever had!

Whitefish Point Lighthouse

This could be another stop in a day-long sightseeing tour: from the cabin to the village of Paradise (30 miles), from Paradise to Whitefish Point (15 miles), from Whitefish Point to Tahquamenon Fall state park (20 miles). P.S. this state park's restaurant servers (locally caught) yellow perch and whitefish fillets.

These locks are an engineering marvel! If you'd like to see an ore-carrying boat up close (when viewed from the cabin's beach these boats are about 2 miles distant), this is a "must see" place. Driving distance from the cabin is approximately 20 miles.
