Dhoon Bay, three miles south west of Kirkcudbright on the B727. Grassy car park and picnic area with public toilets.
The remains of the wreck of the Monreith of Wigtown can be seen out on the sand. A two masted schooner with a cargo of stone kerbs, she was driven ashore here on November 12th 1900. Her crew managed to get off safely.

Dhoon Bay, three miles south west of Kirkcudbright on the B727. Grassy car park and picnic area with public toilets.

This most attractive stretch of shore is 15 minute walk east (sea on your right) from the caravan.
There is a series of sandy coves and caves and the impressive Thirl Stane, a natural stone arch and a popular climbing site.

My daughter and I had a wonderful day here feeding the animals and playing in the amazing rides and equipment. Loads of fab things to do. Very relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely visit again!

We loved making a chocolate Easter egg here. Very friendly and helpful staff in the workshops. Great indoor and outdoor play areas.
