A San Diego institution. No frills. They only do beef pho. Order a 16 or 17, plus sate and bread. I love the lemonade although technically it’s limeade. Parking is horrible but it’s the best pho in San Diego (I’ve seen an owner of another popular pho place eating here! So you know it’s legit!).

Buy them when they are being made fresh, near the produce section you will see the magic happen. Get the salsa ranchera (usually pretty spicy), it’s so good! And the chips with the white and green label. The perfect beach or patio snack!

Very close to our place, short walk. Inside of here is a place called Sahara. Great gyros!! I’m guessing all the food is good. The market itself is pricey but has a few basics and awesome selection of beer/ wine/ and non alcoholic drinks. Some food items and even a bit of produce usually.

Not far from the airport. Can get very busy but the line moves fairly fast. The food is great. Get a seat outside and enjoy the view (but beware the seagulls).

Go see the seals! They are so fun to watch and it’s FREE. There’s also a cave walkway via a gift shop on the cliffs that’s cool to check out. I think it’s around $10. It’s a lot of steps/ can be slippery.
