Sightseeing
A lighthouse of unique historical interest, El Faro de Cabo Mayor is not only a good place to look out to sea on a clear day, but also one that boasts a fascinating - if grim - historical legacy. It is said that during the Spanish Civil War prisoners were thrown from the lighthouse onto the cliffs below. There is a monument to these unfortunate men that still stands today.
