On Saturdays April to December, a market sells produce and prepared foods outside Pepper Place, a former soda bottling plant. A popular industrial photography spot, Sloss Furnaces are a hug, defunct blast furnace plant offering self-guided tours.

Part of Southside, the Lakeview District is an up-and-coming area full of dining and nightlife, including gourmet Southern restaurants, burger pubs, and craft breweries. On Saturdays April to December, a market sells produce and prepared foods outside Pepper Place, a former soda bottling plant.
