A beautiful and historical island in Helsinki. Must-see during summertime and one of our favorite places in Helsinki. We also got married in Suomenlinna church and had wedding celebrations in one of the historic buildings on the island. <3
Take HSL public transportation ferry, which go to the island and back once every 20 minutes.
You may also experience some awesome misty moments during fall when sea water is warmer than the air.

A nice park with this large building (that has in the history served as a mental hospital). Now it is in the use of many artists and has also a cafe.
All in all around the buildin there is a really nice park by the sea. One of our favorite places for walks. There is also an artisan bakery in a red-tile-building called Venetian Ambience. There's also cafe MetsÀpaahtimo, which has a nice summer terrace during summertime.

During summertime Story Kauppahalli has also a nice summer terrace by the harbour.
