This park is our oasis. It's a huge park with a lake and also the Catalan Parliament is located inside! In spring and summer it's usual to go there with something to drink and eat and just lay in the grass enjoying the sun.

Go to the beach where locals go!
If you are in Barcelona during summer and want to escape the crowded beach of Barceloneta but still want to stay close to the city, take the Rodalies train line R1 at Plaça de Catalunya or Arc de Triomf (towards Mataró / Maçanet-Massanes) and stop at Ocata or Montgat Nord. These beautiful beaches are less packed, and you will be surrounded by locals.
