AWESOME food, great price-- love their famous tamales on Wednesdays (I think?). Perfect for a grab-and-go or quick sit-down lunch or early dinner. Rarely empty, but never a long wait!

Great ambiance! Been here for dinner and drinks, both of which have been exceptional. On the pricier side, but WELL worth it for a nice night out. WAY better than Hamilton's or Downtown Grill :)

Nice atmosphere + Free Wifi. I usually go for tea there instead of coffee, since they tend to burn the beans when roasting (Starbucks-style), but if you're in the area & need Wifi, not a bad choice.

PERSONAL FAVE! Love this place. Great coffee, free Wifi, comfy atmosphere for mingling/chatting or studying. Some outdoor seating available for pretty days, too.

My favorite park in the area-- great playground for kids, softball field, basketball courts, and wide open grassy area where you can almost always find a game of frisbee or football going.

Another personal winery fave. They keep it low-key, but have great wine, beautiful views, and some awesome dishes on the café menu, too. If you're headed south of town, definitely check it out.

Top 3 for me. Classically beautiful, with tours of the winery & tastings available. Perfect for groups/gatherings & really close to the historic Barboursville ruins! Worth the 20-min drive from town.

Sightseeing
If you're in town and have never seen Monticello, it's a must-do trip. Most guests spend 2-3 hours there, including the guided tour + exploring the grounds afterwards. Beautiful running trails, too.
