Stamford is 4 miles away and has the largest choice of good places to eat and drink, both during the day and in the evening. All within easy walking. Stamford is a picturesque old Georgian town and is normally a safe place to explore.
The millstone provides good foods and beer and is just over a mile away. The pub was taken over a few years ago and had an extensive refurbishment. It is now better, busier, and more expensive. You would probably have to book to eat in all but the quietest of times.
